Maxwell is Named the WV Fox Hero Kid and Inspires a Community of Gamers

Team WV Fox in full effect! I am so pumped to tell you about this movement my friend, Geoff Cullop started! Geoff is our WV Fox team captain and a partner at Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown, and Poe law firm. The firm is sponsoring our first 24 hour board gaming marathon raising money to heal kids!

 Several months ago, Geoff told me he was putting together an Extra Life Team called WV FOX in honor of my son, Maxwell! Max has been named our hero kid and is the inspiration behind gamers from all walks of life coming together to raise money for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital! Maxwell has FOXG1 Syndrome and sees a wonderful team of doctors to manage his care!  Extra Life is a non-profit organization established in 2008, and has raised over $50 million dollars for hospitals within the Children’s Miracle Network. That’s pretty amazing, right? WVFOX is the name of our Extra Life team in Charleston, WV! Our goal is to raise $10,000 for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and have Maxwell present the BIG CHECK to them at his next appointment with the Rett Clinic.

On May 4, 2019, WV Fox will host our inaugural 24-hr gaming marathon taking place at Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe law firm at 901 Quarrier Street in Charleston, WV. The event starts at 12:01PM on May 4 and ends at 12:01PM on May 5.

 There will be all types of games and gamers there! From RPGs to simple board games, anyone is welcome to come and enjoy gaming to help heal kids! A $15 donation is strongly encouraged to enter this amazing event! If you want to get in on the fun, sign up for a table top RPG here! There will also be a twitch stream running for multiple games! If you are unable to come to the event, you can jump online and still interact with the players, and donate to our event! It’s going to be SO FUN!

 Currently, we have raised a little over $5000 and are still taking donations to help us reach the $10000 goal!
