One of my favorite pastimes is zoning out on Instagram “window shopping” awesome products for calligraphy and watercolor. I screenshot and jot things down on my wish list so I will remember to purchase later. I thought it would be fun to start creating gift guides for calligraphers and artists to share some of the amazing products I have come across!

Let's be real, artists can be tough to buy for because we usually have something very specific in mind, so I hope this will help fam and friends when they are hunting for the perfect gift! Shoot, you just may see something on this list that you must have!

1. Fox & Quills

Their inks are beautiful, and their shop is full of curated goodies for the pen enthusiast! Their inks are hand made in small batches. Here are some of the inks I have been eyeing from their shop!

3. Mr. MG Ward

Mr. Michael Ward is known for his incredible signature design, and in his shop, you can purchase a beautiful leather blotter with your name, in his signature style, foiled! Take one look at his shop and his personalized leather blotters and it will be on your wish list too! Also, a landscape journal is available in his shop that is friendly to calligraphy and fountain pen ink!

4. Share Studios

Stephanie’s hand made paper is hands down, one of my favorites. It is a calligrapher’s dream to scribe on. She creates beautiful kozu paper in dreamy colors like chambray, terra cotta, natural with GOLD flecks, grays, deep blues, rich greens and black. Jump on her newsletter so you are first to know when her batches of paper go live. You don’t want to miss it, and my advice is to buy multiple sheets when you can!

5. Portland Apron Company

These sustainable aprons are hand made from linen and organic hemp and look oh so gorgeous! I have been stalking the new French Apron for work days in the studio and the Gathering Apron to wear to shows and fairs. It has pockets which are perfect for stuffing business cards, tape and my handy dandy box cutter. Shop owner, Erika, even created videos so you can see how these aprons fit on a model!

6. Ink Me This

Calligraphy Ink Stirrer – I love this ink stirrer! Kestrel, the owner, has designed this stirrer to fit any type of jar and another huge pro is that you do not need batteries! Just plug it in and go! You can also pic up extra magnetic stir bars in her shop. I highly recommend it if you use metallic inks!

While you are browsing her shop, check out her custom pen holders and self-inking, waterproof stamps! I have all the things from her shop and use them regularly!

7. Saint Signora

This shop is full of curiosities, and as you browse, you may find that you feel transported back into a different time! Their photos are dreamy, and their products are so unique. Their Leather Artist Kit is one that I have been in love with for a long time! It’s is crafted with the calligrapher in mind with a nice spot for an inkwell, but can be used by so many different type of artists! You can also find handmade paper in their shop too!

I am always researching unique and purposeful products! As I come across them, I will update you all with another edition of the gift guide! I hope you enjoy checking out the small businesses above! Please drop a comment below if you have some of these amazing products, and please share what is on your wish list!
