Wow y’all. I really let my blog go. I started to write about our journey as a special needs family, and along the way, I started to wonder what on earth is my focus with my business, my life, and with this little space on the interwebs?! So, I took some time off from writing, and after all of the love, support, and just flat out incredible messages from you all, I finally think I know what to do with this blog. I want to share what you can expect from me.
I fell hard in love with calligraphy and the calligraphy community so much that I started teaching y’all in December of 2017. I see how excited you get when you make a beautiful letter, and how much you want to incorporate lovely letters into your daily lives…so, I’m here for ya! There will be more workshops in Fall 2018. (I only have a couple left in February and March before I take time off for our little baby!) I will continue to provide you some resources to help you practice! #madelovelyletters for all of our calligraphy related goodness on social media.

Special Needs Family Posts
For those of you who have been on this journey with me, you will know my role as a special needs mom is the highest priority, and I want to help others understand our “normal” life, and provide resources for those who are trying to navigate the special needs world. (Y’all…it is seriously like the underground, and there is just not enough info out there that is easy to find!) I want to share what I know and hopefully we learn from each other!
First, let me start by saying, I do not think of myself as an inspiration…just a person who likes to learn how to do lots of things and share with others. When I became a stay at home mom, I gave up a successful career (I was the breadwinner…no longer), friends, and co-workers. We moved to the country where I knew no one. I became obsessed with ingredients in our food and began to make.everything.from.scratch.
Lemme tell you, it was not healthy behavior. It was obsessive compulsive, and I needed something healthy to direct all of my energy. I picked up a pencil one day, started drawing, and just didn’t stop. If you are someone who is in need of a hobby, or just something that you do for yourself, I hope you find inspiration here to start!
Moms should not have to give up everything because they are doing it all and more for their family. I truly believe you still need to do something YOU love in order to be a happy mom, and your kids need to see that too!
Those are the 3 things you can definitely expect to find on my blog. I hope to sprinkle in some DIY, home décor, and maaayyyybe some watercolor painting tips! I would also love to introduce you to some amazing people in my life, so I hope to have some guest bloggers share their story!
I am truly thankful for each of you and the kindness you have shown me over the past year. You have become such a huge support system for me, and I hope to show you the same kindness in return! I can’t wait to share all of the things with you!
